Loftleidir Icelandic signs for a B757-200 with Santa Barbara Airlines

The contract includes the wet lease of one Boeing 757-200 with crew, maintenance and insurance from Loftleidir Icelandic to Santa Barbara Airlines. The contracts duration is from April 25th until September 20th 2008.

LatCharter, a Latvian charter airline owned by Loftleidir-Icelandic, has reached an agreement with the Maltese national carrier, Air Malta, to lease one Airbus A320 aircraft for two years.

Icelandair Group signs 3,5 billion ISK lease agreements with Israir

Latcharter, a Latvian charter airline owned by Loftleidir-Icelandic, a subsidiary of Icelandair Group, has reached an agreement with Israir to lease two Airbus A320 aircraft to the Israeli airline for three years. Loftleidir-Icelandic has also renewed a contract for the lease of one Boeing 767-300ER to Israir until the end of this year. These contracts are worth 3,5 billion ISK or 50 million USD.

ORGANISATIONAL CHANGES AT LOFTLEIDIR ICELANDIC

Gudni Hreinsson will take over as Managing Director of Loftleidir Icelandic, effective July 1st 2006. Gudni will be replacing Sigþór Einarsson, who has been the Managing Director of Loftleidir Icelandic for the past 6 years. Sigthor has been appointed Chief Operating Officer of Icelandair Group.

Loftleidir Icelandic, the charter and ACMI-marketing subsidiary of the Icelandair Group, has bought majority of the shares in the Latvian charter operator Latcharter Airlines and committed to acquire the remaining shares in the future.
